Our Story...

Dan and I initially crossed paths in Ithaca in college, surrounded by a great friend group, all passionate about Trivia Tuesday at the bar we both worked at. After a few early dates enjoying beers, catching up on family, and the conversation just flowing, it was clear a future was on the horizon.

When I graduated and was offered a job in Los Angeles, we packed up to start our West Coast adventure, convenient since that was where Dan is originally from. Road trips, sunburns, hikes, tacos, and a new time zone allowed us to form our identity as a couple. However, a few years later, home was calling us both back to the 518.

Once settled into our new Saratoga routine of bowling league, lake days, and fall foliage, we knew we were ready for what was next. On a cold March day (classic for Upstate New York!), Dan proposed in our tiny downtown Saratoga living room. Celebratory drinks at Druthers followed, and then it was time to plan the big day.

Deciding to have our wedding (and all its weekend events) at Anne’s Washington Inn was a clear choice. We wanted to show our friends and family what Saratoga had to offer, and AWI’s convenience to downtown, blended with their family-owned, small-town charm, exceeded our wildest dreams and expectations. With a seamless planning process and synergies with our other vendors, and a flawless execution day-of, AWI’s team were absolute pros.

We are so thankful for our perfect wedding and its encapsulation of what Saratoga has to offer.
